This years theme for Regionals is the Venture Cup.

Venture Cup features a point system theme, similar to Go Stadium's Cliffhanger Cup.

Here's how it works:
- Every competitor has 20 points to build their team
- Each eligible Pokemon is assigned a point value (1, 4, 6, or 10 points).
- Your team of 6 Pokemon must have a combined value of 20 points or less.

All Pokemon are allowed in the Venture Cup except for the following species:
Steel, Dark & Fairy-Types, Chansey, Pidgeot and Megas.

Pokemon Point Values:
10 Points- Cresselia, Froslass, Altaria, Hypno, Alolan Marowak, Lickitung

6 Points- Jellicent, Politoed, Kingdra, Dragonair, Lapras, Medicham, Talonflame, Galvantula, Deoxys-Defense, Lickilicky, Regirock, Snorlax, Munchlax, Vigoroth, Dewgong, Dragalage, Lugia

4 Points- Drifblim, Crustle, Mew, Pelipper, Whiscash, Swampert, Stunfisk, Machamp, Alolan Graveler, Zangoose, Dragonite, Goodra, Dusclops, Sealeo, Wobbuffet, Lanturn, Cradily, Tropius, Gengar, Haunter, Mantine, Sirfetch'd, Pachirisu, Abomasnow, Nidoqueen, Flygon

1 Point- All other eligible Pokemon cost 1 point.
