The Silph League Arena

Arena Update

Feb 21, 2023: Silph Arena Season 2023 Wave 2

Wave 2

March – April 2023

The second Wave of the 2023 Silph Arena Season spans March and April. You may play a maximum of 40 ranked rounds across these two months. Any play in tournaments that exceeds a competitor’s first 40 rounds (based on tournament start date) will not impact rank, and any unplayed rounds will not carry over into Wave 3. Remember to keep track of your rounds. For more information on this, visit our Guide to Rank.

Formats available to play are:

  • Ionic Cup – Available throughout March as the Monthly Cup.
  • Polkadot Cup Available throughout April as the Monthly Cup.
  • Open Great League – Always Available
  • Justicar Cup Available to play in Ultra League from March 6th to March 20th as a featured Factions themed Cup.
  • Spring Cup – Available from April 3rd to April 17th as a featured GO Battle League themed Cup.

In order to be eligible for our Continentals and/or World Championships at the end of the season, you must have at least one Silph Arena Cup Trophy from the 2023 Season on your Travelers Card. But if you want to collect all of the Season Trophies you will need to play in a ranked Arena Cup each month!

ARE MONTHLY CUPS IMPORTANT FOR MY PLAYER RANK?

The Silph Arena’s Monthly Cups, Open Great League, and the GO Battle League themed cups all count the same towards your rank if you play them within your allotted 40 ranked games per Wave. However, you will not be able to qualify for our Continental and World Championships without playing in at least one ranked Silph Arena Monthly Cup.
